2018: A Year of Personal Change

2018: A Year of Personal Change by Zach Izenberg on March 7th, 2018

2018 has been fast paced year that has been full of major changes. I’m not usually one to handle change very well, but thanks to support from friends, family and co-workers, this transition to living in a new city has been a breeze. I first moved to Toronto in mid January for what I thought would only be a three month internship, after that I wasn’t sure what would happen. About a month later I was made an offer that I needed very little time to review and accept. The people I have worked with in my first few weeks really helped guide me and taught me a lot, I felt their support and trust in the work I was doing, this gave me a huge boost in confidence and really helped me feel comfortable in a new city and new job. From working on pitches to building boxes, I’ve definitely gained a lot of experience, and even though it wasn’t always a smooth road, I couldn’t be more proud of what I have done here so far.

Leaving Montreal behind was easily one of the tougher decisions I’ve had to make but also a decision that has filled me with pride and joy.  In the span of a few weeks I went from temporarily living in Toronto as an intern to living here permanently with a career here at ChizComm. 2018 started off on a high for me, and after five weeks here it has only gotten better. Even though this is a more personal and short blog post, I just want to thank everyone back home that has supported me and a huge thank you to the ChizComm family for offering tons of help and welcoming me in with open arms, its because of that level of support from the team that I am very excited for my future career here.
