Associate, Marketing & Communications (PR)

We are seeking an Associate, Marketing & Communications (PR) with a minimum of 2-3 years of social media, communications, marketing or other relevant experience working in a non-profit, PR agency, government or corporate setting.   This role will be expected to work closely with members on their team as well as the Social, Digital and Creative Departments to create meaningful and impactful PR results for our clients. This role reports to an Associate Manager.

Responsibilities

This role will be expected to work closely with others to help create meaningful and impactful PR results for our clients.

  • Direct support for senior management’s objectives for the department
  • Manage one or multiple brands and client expectations
  • Creating innovative marketing and digital strategies
  • Assist in the writing/development and editing of various communication materials
  • Liaise with select clients, media and suppliers
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings and offer creative ideas
  • Perform administrative duties as needed
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in related field; certificate in PR a plus
  • At least 1 year in a public relations/communications position
  • A creative thinker with superb writing skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and logistical support skills
  • Ability to self-manage workload and the motivation to grow with evolving job criteria and challenges
  • Able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Agency and toy experience will be considered an asset
