Four Ways You Can Feel Like You’re Going Away This March Break (When you’re not)

Just because everybody you know is going away to Florida or Cuba this March Break, doesn’t mean you have to spend your week feeling left out. There is a lot of local activities you can do to make you feel like your week is enjoyable and productive. Here are some things you can do this March Break that won’t disappoint!

Go to a Fancy New Restaurant

Always wanted to check out the new, chic restaurant on King West but never had the time? Now is your chance. Why not make a reservation and grab a couple of your friends and make it a night out on the town? I promise you won’t regret it. After all, who doesn’t like to eat and have a good time? Some of my favourite restaurants are: Oretta, Cibo and Montecito. What are yours?

Have a Staycation

If you’re unable to go away, why not have a Staycation! A staycation is a great way to relax, spend time with loved ones and not to mention it’s cost friendly J. When planning the perfect staycation, I find that it’s all about location, location, location! Pick a place that will truly make it feel like a “vacation”. Whether that is at home, at a hotel or at your friend’s house, make sure you pick a place and RELAX!

Have a Spa Day

Who doesn’t deserve or enjoy a good spa day? This is the perfect time to sit back, relax and be treated like the Queen (or King) you are J. Spa days not only relieve stress, it also improves your mental and physical state. Studies have also shown that spa days improves your quality of sleep and improves your overall well-being and health. Some great spas in the GTA are: Old Mill Spa, Four Seasons Spa and the Elmwood Spa.

Check something off your bucket list

Always wanted to try something new or check something off your bucket list? March Break is the perfect time! Whether it’s doing the CN Tower: Edgewalk, going to a Raptors game or just getting lost in the streets of Toronto, now is your time. It doesn’t have to be any crazy, but something that you always wanted to do but didn’t have time.

Sometimes you can feel pressured to go somewhere or do something extravagate during March Break. This shouldn’t be the case. March Break is a week to do whatever you want and not to worry about what other people are doing. What are your plans for March Break?
