Four ways you can make the most out of summer hours by Krystal McHugh on May 11th, 2018

Summer is just around the corner and if you’re anything like me, you’re thinking “WHEN will it actually be summer for real?”. Between the never-ending winter and the snow in APRIL, it feels like we haven’t had nice consistent weather in a long time.

Just because the weather isn’t co-operating, doesn’t mean we can’t have fun, RIGHT? Here at ChizComm, we’re fortunate enough to have summer hours starting the May 24 long weekend (Friday’s we end at 1:00pm J).  Here are some ways you can make the most out of your summer hours:

  • Be a tourist in your own city

Go for a walk and get lost in the streets of your city. Sometimes it’s okay to not have a plan or a time frame to explore the beautiful parts of your community. After all, isn’t this how you find hidden gems in your neighbourhood?

  • Learn something new

Life is all about growing and being open to new opportunities and experiences. Whether it be learning a new language, learning how to cook or even rekindling an old hobby, summer is the perfect time to do so.

  • Spend time with friends and family

Family and friends are very important to me and I love spending as much quality time with them as possible. As we grow up and enter our careers, it’s very important to find time to be with the ones you love.

  • Disconnect and connect

Sometimes its good to disconnect from your mobile devices and connect on a conversational and personal level with your family and friends. We are so used to staring at a screen 24/7, but it’s good to put the phones down and talk face to face.
