To secure mass market PR coverage for Sega’s Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games Q4 launch to drive awareness, purchase consideration, sales and ongoing momentum throughout holiday season.
Amongst a highly competitive holiday media landscape and other gaming console and release news, our strategy aimed to broaden consumer awareness and interest by reaching beyond the traditional gamer to target families and general audiences. The campaign kicked off with a NYC launch event which activated a multi-tiered PR and influencer marketing approach including traditional media, gift guides and holiday round ups. Outreach was supported by targeted sampling with game codes for key media and influencers.
